A Happy P-38 Nut!

Standing in front of Glacier Girl in her hanger at the Lost Squadron Museum in Middlesboro, KY, in 2003.

As of 2007, Glacier Girl is operated out of San Antonio, TX.

My name is David C. Copley, and I live in Peoria, IL with my wife and two daughters.  By day I am an acoustical engineer for a major heavy equipment manufacturer.  By night (when I'm not spending time with my family or engaged in other real-life activities) I am a P-38 nut. I am also a musician, so my 'free' time is split between flying/making P-38s and making music.

I go by my initials 'dcc' on sim aviation forums such as avsim and SOH.  Since early 1998 I have been creating freeware models of P-38s for Microsoft Flight Simulator.  In addition to my freeware work, I have contributed to a few 'payware' works, including releases from Abacus, simTech, Classic Warbirds Design Team, SkyUnlimited and Aeroplane Heaven.
