Below are the books I used to build the P-38 models. Some are better than
others, and I attempted to rate them based on their accuracy, content, and overall
presentation. When considering the my subjective ratings, please recognize that my
primary interest was in modeling the aircraft (rather than, say, the military history or
the personalities involved in the P-38 story, as interesting as those subtopics may be),
so the ratings may reflect that bias. Ratings are on a scale of 1-5, 5 being best.
